“VSL3 / VSL#3 Probiotic, the only Medically Approved Probiotic for Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis, is Sued by the Inventor for False Advertising”

This won’t be a long post, but it’s an important one.

In short, the Maryland Federal Jury has found VSL Pharamceuticals Inc guilty of false advertising in relation to their probiotic product, VSL3 or VSL#3.

As someone who suffered for a very long time from ulcerative colitis and purchased VSL3 / VSL#3 multiple times, I find this discovery pretty disgusting.

VSL Pharamceuticals Inc, since 2016 when the inventor of the probiotic decided to part ways and sell the product under a new brand name, has tried to copy the product having never REALLY known what the correct formula is.

As such, VSL Pharmaceuticals has been shipping a product that has been proven to be fundamentally different from the original product that was met with so much success and good press.

VSL3 / VSL#3 is/was the only probiotic medically approved for the treatment of ulcerative colitis.

This is just another example of capitalism getting in the way of our health.
