Daily, I come across people who are wanting to heal naturally from ulcerative colitis & Crohn’s disease because they are craving getting back to their social lives just as they were before their diagnosis.

Now, there are a few people for whom that makes sense.  But for most of the people that I work with, it’s clear that their past social lives were setting them up for failure.

Whether it was a diet full of fast food, too much alcohol, smoking, staying out late, substance abuse, etc., they seem to crave getting back to it.

And I know what that’s like because I was there too.

Especially if those sorts of activities were the activities around which your friendships were built and based.

But here’s the thing.

You now have a choice. A poignant moment in your life; an opportunity to push the reset button.

Not many people are fortunate enough to be forced to make this type of decision..

You can:

(1) Be miserable about your diagnosis. Be depressed, defeated, angry, and resentful.

(2) Make positive nutrition & lifestyle choices so that you can heal, and get back to the social life that was screwing you up.

(3) Make positive nutrition & lifestyle choices so that you can heal, and build a life that supports your long term health and happiness.

Which one do you choose?

I’ll give you a clue: Option 3.

Did you get the clue?

If your friendships run deep, then they will respect your new lifestyle choices and still be there for you.

And if you lose a few people on your journey to living a better life, then so be it.

You will pick up others, trust me.

Don’t be scared of the new life that’s on offer.

It is more full than you think.
