It Comes Down to Stress

I’ve now worked with a large number of people trying to heal naturally from ulcerative colitis & Crohn’s disease. And what I’ve found is that there are a few major reasons why some people fail to heal.

In this article and the video below, we’re focused on why lifestyle is important.

Are you one of those people who focuses neurotically on the food and supplements that you take, and thinks that this will get you the whole way?

Because it won’t.

If you are not managing your stress levels, you will not heal, certainly not long term. Cortisol and adrenaline flowing through your body will do you no favors, and will create exactly the type of almost imperceptible inflammation that we are trying to avoid.

So what do you do?

Well you need to look at the areas of your life that cause you stress, and do something about it.

Look at areas of your life like relationships, career, spirituality, exercise, social life, finances, home environment and so on.

When these areas of out of whack, you experience stress.

Now this blog post is not to tell you exactly how to work on them, because they’re all unique to your individual situation.

So look deep down, listen to your inner wisdom… you’ll find the answers.

Here are a few things I recommend

Though your situation is unique, there are a few things that you can include in your day that seem to help pretty much everyone:

  1. Meditation
  2. Gratitude Practise
  3. Get outdoors every day
  4. Social connection
